Execution Before a King by Bihzad 1
This is from a manuscript in the Chester Beatty Library Dublin (MS 163) and it has been suggested that this is very close to the work of Bihzad. Bahari, Bihzad Page 63, fig. 23.
Looking back at this picture I wonder why there is no discription. Off the top of my head it looks like Herat in the late 15th century. My thought is that the cloths do not look Safavid and the headgear in particular is more in the Timurid style. Additionally as I look a little closer the men are wearing a higher heal which is more appropriate to Uzbek/Turkish boots than Persian slippers.
