The Wonderful Mule. c. 1540
“The Simple Peasant Entreats the Salesman Not to Sell His Wonderful Mule” from the Haft Awrang of Jami made for Soltan Ibrahim Mirza, 1556 to 1565. Simpson Haft Awrang Page 98 Folio 38b.
I selected this piece for the study because the tile seems very close to the style of Duust Muhammed . I do not think he painted it but it is a question as to why a painting attributed to Mirza Ali shouldbe so close in style to Duust Muhammed.
As I get further into this project I feel I can tentatively attribute this picture to Shaykh Mahammad.

The man in the image has an elongated face similar to the style of Duust Muhammed . (Please see Elongated faces in the Haftvad and the Worm c. 1540
Doost Muhammed was a student of the herati master Bihzad.
