Gouache heightened with gold on paper in a golden landscape with flowering trees and a river, a youth wearing a green coat over an orange robe and white turban with a red baton stands playing a mandolin before an old man with a similar turban, pheasants perch in in the tree above (very slight chipping) mounted on card with Safavid style gold illuminated style. miniature 4 1/2 x 3inch.
Here we see a Turban with a large red baton. The white cloth wrapping is low as I expect to see in a Safavid Turban painted before the Turks took the Safavid capitol in Tabriz.
