Date: Second half 19th century (1850 – 1899)
Condition: There is a small split developing in the bottom end. Otherwise, all original and in good condition.
Structure: Slit and interlocking tapestry
Materials: Wool on cotton warps
Full Description: An aviary complete with ‘pool’ center medallion. Vegetal. Interesting that the birds include the roadrunner. Profuse use of eccentric wefting. An imaginative and entertaining kelim.
