Holy Shrine of the Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad Imam
Reza was the 8th Imam (Imam Ali Ibn Musa Al-Reza S.A.). He was poisoned in Sanabad and was buried in the place of the Martyrs (Mashhad)
The shrine grew at the grave of the Imam Reza and the city grew around the shrine. The needs of the shrine and the over 13 million visitotrs a year create pressure between the shrine and the city around it.
