Fine Isfahan prayer rug, Central Persia. The rug features various floral palmettes, delicate floral and leafy vine together with a central small arabesque concentric medallion. Columns at each side support indigo arabesque mihrab, in broad indigo border of stylized floral cartouches and floral vine between ivory floral arabesque. Reciprocal and plain stripes. Good condition.

This rug contains an ivory field densely filled with flowering shrubs and scrolling palmette vines. Animal heads with occasional perching birds surround a central sky-blue cusped lozenge medallion with a cartouche pendant. A mauve mihrab arch at one end is filled with delicate flowering in a tan scrolling border between ivory leaf and palmette vine. Floral meander stripes with a signature cartouche are featured at one end. The piece is in overall excellent condition.

Decorated with concentric medallions and furnished with sweet peonies and foliage, with an alternating background of red and cream. The border is of polychrome rosettes and resides on a yellow background.
Isfahan Carpet
A very fine Isfahan carpet, Central Persia
10 ft. 6 in. x 6 ft. 11 in.
This rug contains an ivory field with meandering leafy vine issuing various polychrome palmettes and stylised floral sprays. A concentric brick-red medallion with pendants containing floral meander features an inner beige lattice frame with single bold palmettes in each corner. A broad brick-red border of entwining floral arabesques with palmettes lies between ivory and indigo stripes. The rug is in very good condition.
