A Bukcha is Turkmen for a pouch to carry a flat loaf of bread that played a key role in the courtship/wedding ritual. The late Robert Pinner describes the Salor/Salyr ritual as the mother of the bride providing gifts to the mother of the groom including a flat envelope shaped bag called a Bokche (Bukcha).Hali 100 The Turkmen Wedding. The Yomut ritual is most likely about the same as the Salor.
